![]() He’s been a beast near the basket, shooting 25-for-38 at the rim, and 12-for-17 between three and 10 feet. But he sure looks like a better player when he does. Just like Draymond, the other Green isn’t on the Warriors to hit jumpers. We need a lot more than 22 attempts before we start calling him a shooter, but Green having a better three-point percentage at the end of November than Devin Booker was not on my bingo card. Admittedly it’s on low volume - his 1.2 attempts per game are tied with last season for the lowest mark since his rookie year - but it’s still encouraging. Draymond Green - 36.4% three-point shootingĭon’t look now, but Green is having the second-best three-point shooting season of his career. No one expects him to shoot 75.4% from inside the arc like GP2 did last year, but somewhere between his current mark and that mark is what the Dubs should expect of him. Compare that to 68.3% as a rookie and 56.7% as a sophomore - despite shooting twos more regularly - and it’s a bit of a troubling trend.ĭiVincenzo is a superb athlete, and there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be putting that athleticism on display cutting to the rim for easy looks like Gary Payton II did. Except he only shot 37.3% on twos last year, and 47.5% the year before. DiVincenzo is making just 46.7% of his two-pointers, which should be easy to dismiss as small sample silliness, since he’s taken just 15 such shots this year. I have a lot of faith in DiVincenzo’s ability to excel in the Warriors offensive system, and his performance in Sunday’s win was a big step in the right direction.īut something odd has happened to him lately: he’s lost the ability to score from inside the arc. Donte DiVincenzo - 46.4% two-point shooting His offensive rebounding rate is actually significantly below his career average, but his defensive rebounding rate is unlike anything he’s ever done before: he’s grabbing 19.4% of available defensive rebounds, after entering the season with a career rate of 12.3%. Interestingly, he’s doing it entirely on the defensive end. Discounting his five-game season in 2019-20, Curry has never had a rebounding rate higher than 9% in his career, but he’s all the way up to 10.9% this year. The Chef is gobbling up boards like never before. One area where it’s very easy to make that case is on the glass. In his 14th NBA season, you can make the claim that Curry is playing better than ever in many areas. ![]() ![]() ![]() If you don’t think that’s impressive, skip ahead to the Ryan Rollins section. Still, rookies are notorious for making mistakes both big and small, and it’s rather remarkable that in the first 24 minutes of Baldwin’s career, he’s avoided fouling anyone, and only committed a single turnover. This stat comes with a serious caveat: Baldwin has only played 24 minutes. And some aren’t particularly meaningful because the players have played so few minutes.īut all of them are - to me, at least - interesting. So I decided to comb through individual stats for every Golden State Warriors player, with a mission: find one unique stat for each player. We’re deep enough into the NBA season that trends are starting to emerge. ![]()

Your package may come with a disc with firmware you need to drop onto the microSD card, but it's best that you go to the manufacturers website and download the latest release. ![]() Beware when purchasing microSD cards, make sure to note whether they're SDHC or standard SD, because not all flash carts work with SDHC (4gb+). They seem to have competitive prices for Australia. They all seem to have pretty good rates (usually 99%-100%) for ROM Support and Homebrew Support. I use an R4, pretty much identical to M3 DS Simply, however, it appears the companies are stopping production of these. You should really be buying from an online store. Where do I buy these from? You can buy a Games'n'Music from Datel and some chains in America, but these are not great for Homebrew compatibility. Again, Slot 1 Flash Cards are recommended. So you need a PassKey, which makes your DS think it's a DS game but really just boots from the GBA Cartridge. But if you boot it from the main DS menu, it will boot as a GBA game. Slot 2 Flash Carts are GBA cartridges that have Removable Storage inputs, such as micro or miniSD (Image 3). If you have other Slot-2 cards, you usually run nds.gba. Most Flash Card/Cart runs off Removable Storage such as micro or miniSD (Image 4), with the exclusion of the G6 which has built in memory. (Image 2 & 3 ) I, and many others recommend Slot 1 Flash Cards because of their compatibility rate. To run Homebrew, you need either: -Slot 1 Flash Card (Image 1) -OR -Slot 2 Flash Cart and a PassKey. Can I PM you? A: Yes only if you've read every section of the FAQ. They also have a forum if you would like to ask more questions. Is it safe to purchase these online? A: I have purchased 4 products on two seperate occasions from BambooGaming.cn, and they have been fast, effective and have a great customer support centre. It is illegal and we do not need to discuss it. If you repeatedly do this, I will email the Instructables Staff. I will not respond to any messages or comments regarding commercial roms, or where to download roms. But I, in no way endorse that act and cannot be held responsible for any wrong doings your par-take in. Can I run commerical roms, such as ones you buy in the store? A: Yes you can. Legal to own in U.S.: Yes, as long as you are using them for homebrew only, they are legal. So a summary: Legal to buy in U.S.: You won't find them. I have bought four products on two different occasions from and they are very very reliable. They are not! They are completely 100% legal but you can usually only get them off the internet. Go to a store and ask for them and they'll tell you they're illegal. In the US, you'd be lucky if you found them in any stores, companies like Gamestop and others wouldn't want to be seen selling objects that can do something illegal, it could get them into strife. They are illegal to download them and put them on your R4 or play them in any way, regardless of whether you own the game or not. It can play homebrew (free and legal!) or commercial games they are still free on the internet, but they are the ones you buy in the stores. " Answer: " Yes, I'm always happy to answer a question! The R4, like many things in life can do two things, legal things or illegal things. So please forgive me for asking, but is the R4 cartridge legal to buy and own in the U.S? Thank you if you read this. I have looked everywhere regarding it's legal status and still have yet to find a reliable answer. Occasionally I get questions like this: " Hello there, I just read your instructable on "How to run Homebrew on your Nintendo DS!" and had a question about the actual R4 device itself. ![]() ![]() Here is a sneak peek at some of the cards in that set (we will show more this week in Part 2 of this segment): Upper Deck will be producing some very special cards as a gift for Certified Diamond Dealers in attendance to thank them for their support. There is still time to sign up if you haven’t already so I encourage you to register now if you are really interested in getting into this business. There you will get some great tips and tactics on how to be successful in this business while meeting great connections in the form of other hobby shop owners, suppliers, manufacturers and leagues who can help you with your business. I personally have found that those who are serious about opening up a trading card shop will make sure they attend the Las Vegas Industry Trade Show. And let’s hear from Upper Deck’s Director of Sales, Mike Phillips on more about it and some other tips on opening up a shop. What is this “program” that Upper Deck put into place that some of the shops are talking about? Well, here is some more information on the Certified Diamond Dealer program. Sean has taken his love for the hobby as a child and made it a thriving business. Next we spent some time with Sean Bennett who owns Pittsburgh Sportscards and Steel City Collectibles. We asked him about how he got into the business and how he went from managing a collector website to becoming a partner in a trading card shop and well-regarded online collector community. We pulled Brad Krysko aside from Cloutsnchara. So let’s hear from some of these trading card shop owners who have established themselves as leaders in the industry and hear what they have to say! My hope is that by putting together a series of videos and stories about how to open a prosperous retail business in this industry, we can help provide the tools these business owners desperately need to have success. There is just not a lot of information out there about how to put together a business plan, get a loan, acquire inventory, hire staff, get insurance, etc. One reason this happened could be from a lack of education about what it takes to run a profitable trading card store. ![]() I saw some responses from former shop owners who opened their shops only to close them down soon after. In the past it can be argued that it most certainly was not, but the industry has changed and manufacturers are doing more to not only support, but defend brick and mortar retailers. I found some of the responses to the post interesting where fans shared they didn’t think opening a shop was a viable business opportunity. Recently we shared our first post on how to open up a trading card shop with some great tips from our friends at Southern Hobby Supply. ![]() ![]() ![]() It’s important to note that sometimes chemical sunscreens can cause irritation. These products will often appear slightly white but will blend into the skin completely clear upon application. ![]() However, there are clear, mineral sunscreens as well. Because chemical sunscreens don’t contain a physical presence, they can be made into a clear, lightweight formula that doesn’t give off a white cast. When it comes to clear sunscreen, you’ll typically find that the transparent, gel-like consistencies are chemical-based formulas. And then you’ll find that there are sunscreens that contain both physical and chemical components to maximize the sun protection benefits-a two-for-one kind of deal. Chemical sunscreen absorbs UV rays, converts them into heat, and then releases them from the skin. Physical sunscreen, also known as mineral sunscreen, works by sitting on top of the skin and reflecting UV rays (think: like a mirror). There are two different types of sunscreen: chemical and physical. The only ones I approve of? Formulas with at least SPF 30 (because anything less won’t cut it), broad-spectrum protection (i.e., protection against UVA and UVB rays), and ones that don’t leave behind a chalky white cast. Nope, not all sunscreens are created equal, and I’m quite picky about which products I slather on my face. But just because I am constantly protecting my face from the sun doesn’t mean I’ll make a case for any ol’ sunscreen out there. ![]() Skin cancer and premature aging (i.e., dark spots, fine lines, uneven skin texture) are not things I mess around with. I’m pretty damn serious about wearing sunscreen. ![]() ![]()
![]() ![]() Memory is not managed automatically nor is it as tightly managed by the central processing unit the way stack is managed. ![]() Variables that are stored on the stack exist for as long as the function that created them are running.Stack has size limits, which can vary according to the operating system you use.Memory is allocated and then subsequently freed without you needing to manage the memory allocation. The size of the stack will vary as methods and functions create and delete local variables as needed. If you do not know how much data you are going to need at run time or if you need memory for a lot of data, then you need to use heap. Another limitation that the stack has is that it cannot handle big chunks of variables that need a lot of memory. Meanwhile, on the heap, it begins when the program is run.Īnd since this is the case, you would need to know just how much data and memory you are going to need before compiling if you want to use the stack. When does the allocation happen? On the stack, memory allocation happens when the program is compiled. Accessing objects on the heap, on the other hand, takes more time. Where is it stored? Variables that are allocated on the stack are accessible directly from memory, and as such, these can run very fast. However, to make things easier to remember, heap is used for dynamic memory allocation, while stack is for static allocations. Similarities and Differences Between Stack and Heapīoth are ways that Java allocates memory and both are stored in the RAM. Here’s an example of how to create an object in the heap: void somefunction( ) This help makes garbage collection faster when compared to a heap without any divisions. Short-lived or temporary objects typically use the young space. When the young space becomes full, garbage collection happens. ![]() The young space is typically earmarked for the memory allocation for new objects. These sub-areas are called the young space (or nursery) and the old space. As you can imagine, it is much more complex to keep track of the parts that are free and can be allocated, but it can also be divided into two generations or sub-areas. You can allocate blocks at any time, and then you can free it when you wish. The objects you find here are accessible to all the functions.Īlso, there is no specific order in reserving blocks in a heap. A method or function will use the heap for memory allocation if you need the data or variables to live longer than the method or function in question. Accessing variables placed here is a bit slower compared to a stack’s direct and fast access. Unlike in a Java stack where memory allocation is done when your program is compiled, in a heap it is allocated as your program is run. This is when objects that are no longer used are deleted to make way for new objects. It can easily become full, and when it does, garbage collection is initiated. It is created when the program is run, and its size may decrease or increase as your program runs. Java objects are in an area, which is called the heap. } //the object "m" is destroyed once the function ends Here’s an example of how to create an object in the stack: void somefunction( ) The memory size of a Java stack is generally much less than in a Java heap space because when a method ends, all the variables created on the stack are erased forever. The variables created for the method are directly stored in the memory, allowing for fast access. ![]() This makes it very easy to keep track of the stack, where the latest reserved block is also the first to be freed. The objects you find here are only accessible to that particular function and will not live beyond it. When the method ends, the new block will be erased and will be available for use by the next method. The new block will have all the local values, as well as references to other objects that are being used by the method. What does this mean? When a method is invoked, it creates a new block in the stack for that particular method. It uses LIFO data structure, or last in first out. It is used to execute a thread and may have certain short-lived values as well as references to other objects. What Is Java Stack?Ī Java stack is part of your computer’s memory where temporary variables, which are created by all functions you do, are stored. Let’s take a look at the two concepts, why they matter, and when you should use each. Stack and heap are two important concepts you should understand in relation to Java memory allocation. ![]() ![]() A total of 844 passengers and crew died making it the most deadly maritime disaster in U.S. Tragedy struck on Jwhen the Eastland capsizes while docked in Chicago.
